Christian A. Robertozzi, DPM

After completing his premed studies at Seton Hall University, Dr. Robertozzi attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in 1981.  He then did a one-year podiatric surgical program at Huntington General Hospital in Boston under the tutelage of the internationally known Robert Frykberg, DPM.  Upon completion of his residency program, he joined the Army Reserve and received an Honorable Discharge in 1989.

In 1983 he began his practice in Newton, NJ.   He was the first podiatrist to procure surgical privileges at St. Clare’s Hospital, Sussex, NJ and Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ.  Dr. Robertozzi is board certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.  He has written articles and a chapter in a book as well as lectured nationally on various podiatric subjects.  Over the years, he has had his hand in starting two podiatric residency programs and was involved in a third.  Throughout his practice life, Dr. Robertozzi has received numerous awards and honors from groups within as well as outside the profession.

Believing that everyone has an obligation to give back, Dr. Robertozzi was involved with the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society, culminating as President in 1993-1994.  Moving from state to national politics, he also served as President of the American Podiatric Medical Association in 2007-2008.   Utilizing his leadership skills, he is now actively involved in the governance at Newton Memorial Hospital as Chair, Surgery Department.
