Dr. Phillip Ward is a member of the APMA Board of Trustees having first been elected in April 2004. He graduated from the University of North Carolina and the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He is in private practice in Asheville, NC. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and by The American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. He is a fellow of ASPS, ACFAOM, ASPD and AAPPM. He is past chair of the APMA Coding Committee and serves as the podiatric advisor to the AMA CPT Panel. He is a past president of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society. His particular interests on the BOT are in membership benefits, legislative issues and practice management.
