Persistence Is The Key
If I had to come up with one word to describe my two decades of being a medical office manager and team leader it would be, “Persistence.” Without it I would have given up and miss out on all of the great experiences I have had with those I have been privileged to work with. It is a mindset, and this is only developed once you make the choice to continue to grow and learn.
Persistence: All great things take time, building a great work team is no different. Know this and share it often. You must persist no matter what challenges and changes come to the practice. If you do, your team will stay by your side. If you need some inspiration in persistence read “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson. Who states it is small daily improvements that are the key to staggering long-term results?
The keyword is “daily.” If the leader of the team does not go the extra mile each day, do not expect the staff to.
Take care and stay safe,
Tina
