Read this interesting article on the age old problem of patients feeling that their doctors are not listening to them. I remember Dr. Jon Hultman who is a contributor for this website, lecturing on this same issue a few years back. He stated that if a doctor just let the patient speak for approximately 57 seconds that the patient would feel that he/she had their say.
