While on our trip, we often (every day) would remark to each other about how fortunate we were to be having the experience of going to language school in Italy. As I had mentioned this was something that the three of us had wanted to do for several years.

When we would walk around the beautiful city of Montepulciano, we would be awe struck by the beauty of the landscape that we were seeing each day. We truly felt blessed to be having this time together.

While thinking over the past fews weeks experience, I was reminded of something that Randy Pausch stated in his book “The Last Lecture” that perfectly fit with the way that I feel about our experience. It also makes me want to keep asking the question each day so that I stay on track with my life goals.

Do not let life pass you by. As my Aunt Dollie says “Life is for those who show up.”

“The key question to keep asking is, Are you spending your time on the right things? Because time is all you have.”

~ Randy Pausch
